Harvested in March/April the grapes are fully ripe and flavoursome. Fermentation and maturation without oak have allowed the varietal flavours of Semillon to be fully expressed. The wine has a powerful, fresh fruity aroma with undertones of cut grass. The palate is clean and flavoursome with a pleasant fruit sweetness in the middle palate and a crisp, refreshing finish. Ashbrook Estate Semillon has been selected James Halliday's Top 100 wines on several occasions and has received numerous other awards. Its cleanness ande freshness makes the wine an excellent accompaniment to seafood dishes. A lovely wine to drink in its youth, the powerful flavour and excellent balance ensure it will age for many years. This is classic Margaret River Semillon at its best.
